Lunar Recovery Base
At B6, the central stairs put you between two chests and two onward branches. The east route leads toward the nearby B7 save room. The west route has a Cabin and the hidden approach to Ragnarok, but that is the longer expedition. We’ll establish the recovery base first.
Tricker advertises its own Bolt weakness. Don’t take the bait. Use physical attacks and let Rydia conserve MP. Just keep smacking him and he’ll keep casting scan on himself. Easy peasy. But if you DO cast lightning on him, he gets vicious - so be sure that blast will one-shot him.
Veteran is a more urgent problem because of Doom. Focus your strongest attacks on one enemy at a time, keep ItemRevives a KO'd ally. Can appear as loot from a FloatEye and Eagle formation southwest of Baron. available, and revive people who fall. Don’t assume Slow or a speculative status spell has bought you extra countdown time.

B7: The Left Cave Is Your Camp
On B7, follow the western route down to the southern hall. There are three cave mouths. Enter the leftmost for the save point. Use a Cabin and make a memory-card save.

Return to camp, recover and save. The Au Apple, second Protect and Ragnarok on the western secret route remain deliberately outstanding. They’re next.
If You Need More Supplies
Exit still works on B7. You can return to the palace/Whale, store equipment, restock and come back. Once you descend into the crystal floors at B8, Exit and Warp stop working; you would have to walk back to B7 first.
If your bag is full, store unused equipment before sacrificing valuable recovery items. In a pinch, remove a whole stack of cheap, replaceable consumables, not the only non-elemental sword you brought for Blue D. Remember that Sort combines compatible stacks but doesn’t create unlimited space.
