Castle Baron
We’re inside the castle, and Cecil’s bed gives us a free recovery point. Use it before entering the main hall. There are two important fights ahead, with time to rest and explore between them.
Boss Fight Prep
Baigan greets the party in the main hall. Keep Cecil and Yang ready to attack and leave a healer available.
Baigan’s body has 4,444 HP and each arm has 444. The arms therefore take far less punishment than the body. Keep track of your targets rather than spreading damage blindly.
Magic can prompt Wall. Once it is up, don’t keep casting ordinary attack spells directly into it. Cecil and Yang can continue fighting, and Palom’s equipped EquipmentEquippable by Cecil (Paladin), Kain, Edge, Rydia (both forms), Palom, Edward. Power 28; Acc 94%. Reusable Item attack with no MP cost. attack remains useful. Let Porom handle healing; Tellah can support her when needed.
The successful route removed Left Arm, defeated the body, and immediately finished RightArm. That is a workable sequence, not a reason to leave a surviving arm unattended while everybody heals.
Once you win, go back to Cecil’s bed. There is no prize for approaching the next boss already exhausted.
Treasure Before the Throne Room
Don’t approach the king yet. Explore the eastern side of the castle while we’re free to move around.
The Six-Chest Room
Find the switch beneath the torch on the east side. It opens a concealed passage west, then south down the stairs.

East Tower
Work through the tower and basement:
| Floor | What to collect |
|---|---|
| 1F | Two Bacchus and two Hermes from the four chests. |
| B1F | Elixir from a pot. The eastern corridor is not our route onward now. |
| 2F | Two HiPotions. |
| 3F | Ether1 and two ItemField/save-point recovery, restoring up to 1,000 HP and 100 MP. At higher levels, check your remaining deficits before continuing. from chests, plus another Ether1 from a pot. |
Leave a few inventory slots free before the sweep. If you reach a blocked basement corridor, don’t spend the afternoon trying to force it. Return upstairs and finish the accessible treasure.
Equipment Warning Before the King
There is a party change after the next fight. Don’t assume equipment will automatically reappear in your inventory when someone leaves. Remove anything from the twins that you definitely want to keep before speaking to the king. Give them spare replacements so you aren’t deliberately making the boss harder.

Rest again if necessary and save. We are about to be rather busy.
Boss Fight Prep
Approach the king to begin the confrontation with Cagnazzo.
He has over 5k HP, so expect a bit of a drawn out battle.
The important cue is Tsunami warning! followed by water gathering around the boss. Use Bolt magic promptly to break that barrier. Tellah’s MagicBlack Magic in Tellah's post-trial menu, costing 30 MP. Its effect has not yet been tested on this run. works, but timing matters more than admiring the biggest spell in the menu. A lightning spell that resolves after Wave is a rather late intervention.
When Cagnazzo withdraws with Turtle defense!, expect recovery and reduced damage. Use the breathing room to heal and prepare for the next buildup. Don’t empty Tellah’s MP just because one earlier Bolt did impressive damage.
The Enterprise
Let the following scenes play out. The twins’ attempt to stop the closing walls is a story event; spending your inventory in a futile effort to undo it is not the next objective.
Cid leads the remaining party to Enterprise. After the encounter with the other airship, our destination is Troia and the Earth Crystal.
