Asura and Leviatan
The rulers will help Rydia, but apparently a friendly reunion needs a combat exam. These are optional challenges, and you can come back if the party isn’t ready. You don’t lose the village’s treasure or shopping opportunities by declining a fight.
Start with the queen at the bottom of the library. Once Asura is defeated, the king’s challenge becomes available. Rest and save between them. Winning one does not mean you’re already prepared for the other.
Boss Fight Prep
For Asura, make sure Rosa knows Wall, has enough MP to cast it and keep healing, and is in the back row with Rydia. Enter at full HP. Keep ItemRevives a KO'd ally. Can appear as loot from a FloatEye and Eagle formation southwest of Baron. and healing items available so Cecil or Edge can help when Rosa needs a turn to restore the plan.
Asura has 31,005 HP. The important trick is Wall on Asura, not on your own party. Her healing spells then bounce toward your characters instead of repairing the damage you just inflicted. Refresh Wall when necessary rather than letting her resume healing herself indefinitely.
Have Cecil attack, Kain AbilityKain leaves the battlefield, then lands on his target to attack. While airborne he also misses party healing; wait for recovery before jumping if his HP is low., and Rydia summon Titan. Once Wall is active, ordinary targeted attack magic can come back at you, so don’t keep selecting MagicBlack Magic in Tellah's post-trial menu, costing 30 MP. Its effect has not yet been tested on this run. out of habit. Edge can attack while the party is healthy and switch to recovery items when needed.
Her physical counters hurt. Don’t queue a whole round of attacks while a vulnerable character is barely standing. The reflected healing lands on random party members; it may help someone who doesn’t need it while ignoring the person you were hoping to save. Rosa remains the healer; don’t expect a boss to do her work.
After victory, Rydia learns Asura, costing 50 MP. Return to the save room, use a Cabin, and save before coming back to the king.
Boss Fight Prep: Leviatan
Leviatan’s danger is heavy party damage rather than self-healing. Bring everyone back to full HP and restore Rosa’s MP. Give Cecil and Edge recovery-item duty whenever the healer needs support. If the opening attacks overwhelm your party, returning later is an option; a large stock of ItemRevives a KO'd ally. Can appear as loot from a FloatEye and Eagle formation southwest of Baron. is not a substitute for being able to stay alive between casts.
Leviatan has 50,001 HP. Big Wave hits the party, and MagicBlack Magic in Tellah's post-trial menu, costing 15 MP. Its effect has not yet been tested on this run. adds more damage between recoveries. Keep Rosa ready with your strongest suitable group Cure spell. MagicWhite Magic in Tellah's post-trial menu, costing 40 MP. Its effect has not yet been tested on this run. is helpful if she knows it, but don’t treat it as a requirement just to visit this optional area.
Rydia can use SummonRydia's lightning summon. Costs 30 MP; its attack is displayed as Thunder. Check elemental defenses before using it. or her strongest available Bolt spell. Cecil attacks and Kain AbilityKain leaves the battlefield, then lands on his target to attack. While airborne he also misses party healing; wait for recovery before jumping if his HP is low.. Edge’s Blitz is an option, but let him use ItemRevives a KO'd ally. Can appear as loot from a FloatEye and Eagle formation southwest of Baron. or a healing item if that gives Rosa the breathing room to heal everyone else. Reviving someone at very low HP immediately before the next wave can just add another lap to the same cycle.
Don’t rely on Asura to produce exactly the recovery you want every time. Rosa’s chosen Cure spell is the predictable plan; Rydia can help with an item if the party needs it more than another attack.
Victory teaches Leviatan, shown as SummonBattle-menu summon learned from Leviatan. All-target offense is unsafe while CPU's Attacker must survive. in the Call menu, for 50 MP. Congratulations: Rydia’s list is looking substantially more intimidating than MagicRydia's 7-MP Call spell, available by Level 3. The attack is ChocKick. and Imp.

Leave more than a token three spaces; the next cave has another long treasure run.
Our next plot destination is the Sealed Cave, north of Tomra inside the mountain ring. Heal and save outside. Keep Necklace handy for the entrance. The cave’s doors are less welcoming than the library’s.
