Board the battleship
A WHOLE bunch of cut scenes, some very creepy ones, later, you’ll finally end up as some dude in an A.G.W.S. These bots can’t seem to harm you too badly, so just take ‘em out. I’d use the Square button, but that’s just me. ;)
You’ll watch some more cut scenes, and then you are CharacterPlayable party member and director of the Kukai Foundation., CharacterDurandal bridge officer., and Soldier. Head down the ramp at the upper-right of the screen, then down the lower-right edge of the next screen. There are people at the end of the corridor who tell you to be careful. Right. Since when is attacking an enemy ship the beginning of careful behavior? Heh heh.

| 2 | Blow up the objects on both sides of the walkway for:
|

| 5 | Don’t destroy the panel beside Door No. 4 unless you want an extra fight. Destroy the other cabinet for 2x ItemTarget: 1, +10 S.Pts (). |
| 6 | Continue south through the opened doors and deal with two ambushes. Follow the path down and left, enter the room there, and destroy the crate for 2x ItemTarget: 1, +25% Max Frame Hit Points (FHP) (). |
| 7 | Leave the room and continue left as the path curves up. Enter the door on the right and operate the Door No. 4 switch. |
Door No. 4 and Segment Address 11
| Step | Action |
|---|---|
| 1 | Backtrack through Door No. 4. Ignore the first locked door for now and continue south. |
| 2 | Destroy the two western wall panels for:
|
| 3 | Save in the room to the left, then return north slightly and take the path to the right. |
| 4 | Destroy the plants for:
|
| 5 | The blinking controls beside the next doors are alarms. Follow each cable and destroy its wall panel before opening the corresponding door. Leaving an alarm active lets you trigger a repeatable fight if you want to grind. |
| 6 | The first room contains your soldiers and a LocationThe organization operating the Pleroma facility and battleship. prisoner. Disable the next alarm and enter the second room ready to fight. When the LocationThe organization operating the Pleroma facility and battleship. Soldier reaches 0 HP, he boards Boss-like Enemy800 HP; Mechanical type. Weak to No weakness. Rewards: 200 XP; 18 T.Pts; 4 E.Pts; 12 S.Pts. Drops: Frame Repair A; rare Frame Repair Z. Strategy: The U-TIC Soldier boards Zolfo B after his HP reaches zero. Put Jr. in his A.G.W.S., Guard for 6 AP, and use W-ACT.. |
| 7 | After the fight, destroy the upper-right wall for 2x ItemTarget: 1, +10 S.Pts () and SidequestSegment Address 11 is opened with Decoder 11.. |
Soldier Room: Zolfo B
| HP / Type | The U-TIC Soldier has 120 HP and is Biological; Zolfo B has 800 HP and is Mechanical. |
|---|---|
| Special | Reducing the soldier to 0 HP triggers a Battle SystemEnemy or character response that inserts a turn after being attacked. into Zolfo B. |
| Steal | No required steal. |
| Weak / Absorbs | The soldier is weak to Fire; Zolfo B has no reported weakness or absorb. |
| Reward | Zolfo B gives 200 XP, 18 T.Pts, 4 E.Pts, and 12 S.Pts. |
| Drops | ItemTarget: 1, +25% Max Frame Hit Points (FHP); rare ItemTarget: 1, +50% Max Frame Hit Points (FHP). |

Mary and Soldier can follow the same Guard/Battle SystemSix-AP A.G.W.S. attack that fires matching W-ACT-compatible left- and right-hand weapons together. routine. |
Use Key ItemItem required to open Segment Address No. 11 now , confirm SidequestSegment Address 11 is opened with Decoder 11. is registered , collect the Character AccessoryIce -20 (Reduce ice dmg by 20%) reward, and mark it . You can also open Segment 11 in the full tracker.
Door No. 5 and the A.G.W.S. Hangar
| Step | Action |
|---|---|
| 1 | Leave the soldier room and continue south past the still-locked keycard door. Destroy the wall panel for 5x ItemTarget: 1, +10 E.Pts (). |
| 2 | Follow the corridor left, deal with the LocationThe organization operating the Pleroma facility and battleship. soldiers, then enter the control room and operate the Door No. 5 switch. |
| 3 | Save in the nearby room if needed, then enter the A.G.W.S. Hangar. Destroy the cabinet on the eastern wall for 1x ItemTarget: 1, Removes all Physical Status Effects (). |
| 4 | Head all the way left and descend the stairs. Search the catwalks from left to right:
|
| 5 | The final catwalk’s container has no loot. It explodes and calls a guard down the stairs, so I don’t recommend blowing it up. |
| 6 | Return to the stairs and take the walkway leading toward the bottom of the screen. |
U-TIC Card, Card No. 3, and Decoder 16
You’ll be ambushed again, so have your HP high enough for that. After killing them off, collect both cards before backtracking:
- 1x Key ItemUsed at the U-TIC Battleship card reader to open the locked room containing Decoder 16. from the chest revealed inside the first room on the right ()
- 1x Key ItemItem required to open Door #3 on U-TIC Battleship from the flashing object in the southern quarters ()
Area Enemies: U-TIC Battleship return route
- Enemy160 HP; Mechanical type. Weak to Lightning. Rewards: 50 XP; 4 T.Pts; 0 E.Pts; 4 S.Pts. Drops: Scrap Iron; no rare item. Strategy: On Pleroma, sneak past it or lure it to a yellow canister; Lightning Fist hits its weakness if Ziggy fights. On the U-TIC Battleship, mirror its patrol route to slip past or use an A.G.W.S. Lightning attack.
Go back through the hangar and Door No. 5. Cyber Crabs have replaced the soldiers in the hallways, but you can mirror their patrol paths or duck into rooms to avoid them.
Before opening Door No. 3, return to the locked room you passed earlier. Examine the card reader beside the door, use the Key ItemUsed at the U-TIC Battleship card reader to open the locked room containing Decoder 16., and open the chest for Key ItemItem required to open Segment Address No. 16. You can open Segment 16 in the full tracker at any time.
Get Key ItemItem required to open Segment Address No. 16 before leaving
Do this during the story visit. Using the Key ItemUsed at the U-TIC Battleship card reader to open the locked room containing Decoder 16. here during a later E.V.S. return can freeze the game instead of opening the room. Key ItemItem required to open Segment Address No. 16 is therefore functionally missable even though the battleship later appears in E.V.S.
| Step | Action |
|---|---|
| 1 | Return to the control room beside Door No. 3. |
| 2 | Examine the green flashing light and use Key ItemItem required to open Door #3 on U-TIC Battleship. |
| 3 | Examine the red flashing light to open Door No. 3. |
| 4 | See the dead bodies? Remember how close the save point is? Hmm… Does this suggest a course of action? Save. |
| 5 | Head through Door No. 3 and follow the corridor to the bridge. Walk to the flashing terminal in the middle of the screen and operate it. |
Ambix
If you use the correct strategy, this upcoming battle shouldn’t be that difficult. You shouldn’t need to buff up Jr.’s A.G.W.S. using any extra equipment you’re just carrying around, but I guess you can if you want. You WILL be in the A.G.W.S., so you can unequip most accessories from Jr. I would recommend equipping a Scope, though, if you have two or more handy.
Boss Fight: Ambix
| HP / Type | 1200 HP; Mechanical. |
|---|---|
| Special | Ambix Counter-Boosts frequently. Missile Launcher and Machinegun hit the whole party; Beam Laser hits one target. |
| Steal | A.G.W.S. AccessoryEnable Boost is the rare item; use EtherJr.: Steals an item from one enemy. if Jr. has it. |
| Weak / Absorbs | No reported weakness or absorb. |
| Reward | 1800 XP; 62 T.Pts; 16 E.Pts; 50 S.Pts; 0G. |
| Drops | ItemTarget: 1, +50% Max Frame Hit Points (FHP); rare A.G.W.S. AccessoryEnable Boost. |
| Strategy | Have Jr. board his A.G.W.S. immediately. Guard for 6 AP, then use Battle SystemSix-AP A.G.W.S. attack that fires matching W-ACT-compatible left- and right-hand weapons together. so each Battle SystemEnemy or character response that inserts a turn after being attacked. risks the fewest possible attacks. Mary and Soldier can do the same. If you want Jr. to keep all the point rewards, let the two temporary companions fall before Jr. finishes Ambix. |
Have Jr. jump to his A.G.W.S. as soon as the battle with Boss1,200 HP; Mechanical type. Weak to No weakness. Rewards: 1800 XP; 62 T.Pts; 16 E.Pts; 50 S.Pts; 0G. Drops: Frame Repair Z; rare B-MAX Circuit. Strategy: Its frequent Counter-Boosts punish weak attacks. Guard for 6 AP, use W-ACT for larger bursts, and let Jr. board his A.G.W.S. if the on-foot approach becomes unsafe. begins. Your pistols do like 1 point of damage. Since this enemy has a high probability of counterattacking via Boost, it’s best if you do as much damage as possible on each attack. Don’t forget that you can use Battle SystemSix-AP A.G.W.S. attack that fires matching W-ACT-compatible left- and right-hand weapons together. if you have two of the same weapons equipped and 6 AP. Have each of your characters Guard for one turn, then use Battle SystemSix-AP A.G.W.S. attack that fires matching W-ACT-compatible left- and right-hand weapons together. on the next.
You can let Soldier get killed off if you want. It’s not that big a deal, as long as he gets a few shots in to knock the guy down a bit. If your A.G.W.S. stats get low, you can use the Frame Repairs, but I didn’t find them necessary if I used this strategy. Also, you can equip one of your Scope accessories and know when to use the Golden Egg, but if you do that, you’ll only have one for the next cast of characters.
Anyway, watch all those cut scenes and you’ll be back at the LocationThe cargo ship that becomes the party’s main transportation hub., eventually. The next route begins at the Dock Colony.
