Introducing Ziggy

After the worlds second longest set of cut scenes, you’ll have control again. This time, however, you’re not Shion. You are now Ziggurat Industries “Ziggurat 8”, soon to be known as CharacterPlayable cyborg commonly called Ziggy.. You’re invisible, so don’t worry too much about being seen or heard, actually.

Head slightly right and save your game. You don’t REALLY want to watch the whole cut scene again if you screw up, do you?

After that, head up the ramp and directly right. You can blow up some stuff here to get a Character AccessorySearch Eyes (Display Enemy information) (). From where you get the Scope, head maybe two steps up and blow up the red barrel for ItemTarget: 1, +50 E.Pts x2 (). Go examine the A.G.W.S. if you want, then try to go up the ramp to the upper right.

Watch the cut scenes and then you get to have some real fun. You have to make your way right. You’ll want to hold down R2 to keep your footsteps from echoing and bringing the enemy running. If you head up the stairs at the top of the screen, you can get a feel for what the layout of the area looks like. Essentially, you’ll want to run, er no, walk to the right without walking into a guy. I usually watch to see which way the guys are walking, then step into their pattern.

On the next screen to the right, blow up the object at the bottom-left for ItemTarget: 1, Revive KO'd ally with HP recovery/Low x2 (). At the top, there are two objects you can destroy. Blow them both up, and they’ll reveal a doorway heading left. Go left and walk behind the wall until you get to the chest. There’s a Character AccessoryPoison Guard (Prevents Poison) () in there. Equip it. Just above the chest is a wall you can blow up, behind which is hidden SidequestSegment Address 4 is opened with Decoder 4.. You can open Segment 4 in the full tracker at any time.

Head back down the hidden corridor and slowly walk past the guard at the top. Just past that fire pit, you can hide in a little walkway at the top and wait for the next guy to go past. Follow him all the way around his fire pit and you can get by without being seen.

Go on to the next screen to your right. Just so that you know, in the center of this screen is a hidden chest containing Key ItemItem required to open Segment Address No. 11. Blow up the large object in the middle to reveal it , but be ready to fight a LOT of guys if they notice. You can open Segment 11 in the full tracker at any time.

Walk all the way across the walkway and, on the next screen, read the sign. Wander to the bottom-right corner and listen to what Ziggy says about the A.G.W.S. there. You need to distract it. On the lower-left is a crane. Hmm… Why don’t you try pressing that switch?

While the A.G.W.S. is looking at the remains, head back to the right and go down the ladder. Incidentally, defeating this Boss-like Enemy640 HP; Mechanical type. Weak to Lightning is effective; formal weakness unconfirmed. Rewards: 150 XP; 10 T.Pts; 4 E.Pts; 6 S.Pts; 200G. Drops: Med Kit S and Decoder 4; no rare item. Strategy: Keep MOMO behind Ziggy and use Sheep Beam whenever Mercurio-A wakes. Guard through Absolute Defense, then use Lightning Fist before putting it back to sleep. later gets you Key ItemItem required to open Segment Address No. 4, which will net you a Character AccessoryRare +10 (+10% earn better items in battle) from SidequestSegment Address 4 is opened with Decoder 4.. Keep going right onto the next screen.

Watch the cut scenes and get ready to fight. You should be able to take these guys no trouble. My Ziggy started with over 400 HP, though.

Meet MOMO

After the battle and ensuing cut scene, that’s MOMO, btw, you’ll need to find the Key ItemRequired to open MOMO's holding cell on Asteroid Pleroma.. Head down the stairs at the bottom-left of the screen. On the next screen, you can avoid the people and robots if you are careful.

Go down the stairs and collect Veil x2 from the chest just beyond the yellow canister (). Then head straight back to the right along the top wall. Just past the vehicle, you’ll find some boxes you can blow up, and just down from that is a doorway. Go through it.

On your left is a room with six boxes:

Head back to the hallway, and go through the door on your right.

Gardis M1

Fight the Remote Activation Unit, Enemy450 HP; Mechanical type. Weak to Lightning. Rewards: 350 XP; 10 T.Pts; 0 E.Pts; 8 S.Pts; 0G. Drops: Med Kit S; no rare item. Strategy: It can replace defeated Gardis F10 supports. On Pleroma, Guard and use Ziggy’s Triangle, Triangle, Circle combo; aboard the U-TIC Battleship, Mary’s A.G.W.S. W-ACT can nearly remove it., and its two Enemy60 HP; Mechanical type. Weak to Lightning. Rewards: 5 XP; 1 T.Pt; 0 E.Pts; 1 S.Pt; 0G. Drops: No normal or rare item. Strategy: Gardis M1 can replace defeated supports. Focus on Gardis M1 for the fastest win, or remove additional F10 units with Lightning Fist when you deliberately want their extra points. supports.

In the chest up and right of where that robot was, you’ll find the Key ItemRequired to open MOMO's holding cell on Asteroid Pleroma. (). Heal up, then head back to MOMO the way you came.

Unlock the door to the left of MOMO’s cell first. There’s a save point in there. The next cell over has a ItemTarget: 1, Speed +25% () in a box. Now go open MOMO’s cell and say hi.

Try to go back the way you came, and you’ll have to turn back. Instead, take the path down and left. Have MOMO use her healing Ether, EtherMOMO: Medium HP recovery for one ally or enemy., and have Ziggy attack if you get in battles. Head down and right to the door again, then go into the control room. When the cut scene ends, press the red button on the right-hand counter, head out through the door, cross the hall, and go down the ladder.

Sewer and chapel

Watch the cut scene, then head left. Blow up the red object beside the first door for a ItemTarget: 1, HP recovery/Low (50 HP) (), then go through the door into the chapel.

Collect:

When you’ve collected the stuff here, head back to the corridor and continue left. Destroy the second red canister for a ItemTarget: 1, Revive KO'd ally with HP recovery/Low ().

Once you acquire 60 Battle SystemBattle reward spent to extract Skills from equipment., be sure to get the SkillPrevents Poison. Skill.

When you get to the slick pipes, you’ll want to walk with R2 and use the directional pad instead of the control stick. It’s a lot easier that way.

Continue on and pick up the ItemTarget: 1, EP recovery/Mid (+20 EP) () from the destructible object in the next section. At the far end, BE SURE YOU ARE READY TO FIGHT, then head up the ladder.

Zolfo A and Mercurio-B

Have MOMO use EtherMOMO: Puts one Mechanical enemy's pilot to sleep. to put the left and right Boss-like Enemy640 HP; Mechanical type. Weak to No reliable weakness; Sheep Beam works. Rewards: 150 XP; 8 T.Pts; 10 E.Pts; 6 S.Pts; 200G. Drops: No normal or rare item. Strategy: Put both units to sleep with Sheep Beam, let Zolfo A damage and wake them, and finish them one at a time. Never attack while an A.G.W.S. is guarding. enemies to sleep. Don’t let Ziggy use his Character WeaponZiggy subweapon: all enemies on one line; Beam; Ether Attack 135%; costs 4 EP; two uses per battle., though. This will attack ALL enemies and wake them up. Let the red guy, Boss-like Enemy820 HP; Mechanical type. Weak to Lightning is effective; formal weakness unconfirmed. Rewards: 200 XP; 22 T.Pts; 50 E.Pts; 16 S.Pts; 200G. Drops: No normal or rare item. Strategy: Keep both Mercurio-B units asleep, let Zolfo A shoot them, and use Lightning Fist between support cleanup. Do not attack while its shield is raised., shoot his subordinates. Remember, Ziggy can throw an ItemTarget: 1, EP recovery/Low (+10 EP) to MOMO. If you can keep them asleep, it’s much easier. ;)

As soon as the battle’s over, be sure to adjust your items, if you need to. You can get:

Yup. 8x. Wow.

There’s nothing else to do here or back, so head to the upper-right and into the command room. First things first, save.

Decoder 4 and Segment Address 4

Use the Battle Formation menu option to place MOMO directly behind Ziggy if you aren’t going to level up a bit. Head out the door at the top of the screen and fight some soldiers. You can level up, then go back and save as much as you want here.

FWIW, I actually head right all the way to the Boss-like Enemy640 HP; Mechanical type. Weak to Lightning is effective; formal weakness unconfirmed. Rewards: 150 XP; 10 T.Pts; 4 E.Pts; 6 S.Pts; 200G. Drops: Med Kit S and Decoder 4; no rare item. Strategy: Keep MOMO behind Ziggy and use Sheep Beam whenever Mercurio-A wakes. Guard through Absolute Defense, then use Lightning Fist before putting it back to sleep. near the crane. With MOMO behind Ziggy feeding him health kits, it’s not that hard to defeat this guy.

Margulis

When you’re ready to go on, save in the control room, place MOMO behind Ziggy in the Battle Formation screen, and use items to restore your health and Ether. Be aware of what accessories you have equipped. If possible, try not to equip anything you don’t have duplicates of so that your future characters can learn their Skills.

To get to the next boss, head out the door and quickly go left at a walk. Watch the cut scenes, and get ready to fight. This guy is tough.

Defeating Margulis nets you 3000G and, with both characters standing, 1200 Battle SystemBattle reward that automatically advances character levels., 29 Battle SystemBattle reward spent on Tech Attacks or character statistics., 30 Battle SystemBattle reward spent to evolve or transfer Ether abilities., and 13 Battle SystemBattle reward spent to extract Skills from equipment. each. Oh. And an equipable item.

Watch the cut scenes. The next route begins aboard the Elsa.
