Nobody gnos

Just FYI: You may end up with an Character WeaponUser: KOS-MOS; Dragon Skull; one enemy; Line; Beam; Ether Attack 120%. at any time now. It’s probably related to how much time has elapsed. Since I play a lot of the card game, I received it at this time. Also, this next area seems to be all about using the right characters. I recommend using either Shion or MOMO, plus chaos and KOS-MOS. It wasn’t too difficult, and my guys were level 16, 14, and 16 respectively. Use ranged attacks against these enemies.

Tell Captain Matthews you want to leave. You’ll watch some cut scenes. Then some more. A few more. OK. What are the odds that all your current combat units would end up in the same place? Wow. That sure is lucky! Oh, wait. Maybe lucky is the wrong word. Ah. A “warning alert.” That’s almost useful information.

Arrival and the first highway
StepAction
1When you have control of Shion again, use the save point to the left.
2Blow up the columns to the north for:
  • 1x ItemTarget: 1, Removes Poison Status Effect ()
  • 1x Character AccessorySleep Guard (Prevents Sleep) ()
3Extract and set SkillPrevents Sleep. from the Character AccessorySleep Guard (Prevents Sleep). The enemies here can put you to sleep, and save points are not exactly plentiful.
4Continue north and fight the Enemy500 HP; Gnosis type. Weak to Beam. Rewards: 320 XP; 8 T.Pts; 8 E.Pts; 2 S.Pts. Drops: Med Kit S; no rare item. Strategy: Its attacks can hit the whole party, so focus both characters on one Cerberus at a time. Shion’s Spell Ray exploits its Beam weakness. Gnosis. They have 500 HP, so concentrate on one first, then the other. Shion’s Tech AttackShion: Beam Ether Tech Attack against one enemy. can kill one in a round if you’ve been leveling it.
5Just past the yellow canister, take the left path at the fork and destroy the object for 1x ItemTarget: All, HP & EP full recovery ().
6Backtrack and take the right path. Pass another group of Enemy500 HP; Gnosis type. Weak to Beam. Rewards: 320 XP; 8 T.Pts; 8 E.Pts; 2 S.Pts. Drops: Med Kit S; no rare item. Strategy: Its attacks can hit the whole party, so focus both characters on one Cerberus at a time. Shion’s Spell Ray exploits its Beam weakness. and continue until the cut scenes begin.

These enemies drop plenty of ItemTarget: 1, EP recovery/Low (+10 EP), so take advantage of your healing Ethers. You can also transfer Shion’s EtherShion: Adds one Boost level to one ally. so anyone can give the next character a free Boost, then use that control to line up the Battle SystemEvent Slot bonus that multiplies Tech, Ether, and Skill Points from enemies defeated on that turn. Battle SystemTurn-based slot that cycles through blank, Critical Rate Up, Boost Gauge Up, and Points Up states.. KOS-MOS’ EtherKOS-MOS: Ice Ether attack against all enemies. can give another character an all-enemy attack, which will be useful very shortly.

Fairy road and the rooftop detour
StepAction
1After the cut scenes, take the left branch and destroy the boxes for 1x ItemTarget: 1, Removes all Mental Status Effects ().
2Backtrack and follow the right branch. Use the yellow and red canisters to soften the Enemy500 HP; Gnosis type. Weak to Beam. Rewards: 320 XP; 8 T.Pts; 8 E.Pts; 2 S.Pts. Drops: Med Kit S; no rare item. Strategy: Its attacks can hit the whole party, so focus both characters on one Cerberus at a time. Shion’s Spell Ray exploits its Beam weakness. and Fairy groups.
3When you reach the five Fairies, use EtherKOS-MOS: Ice Ether attack against all enemies. or put chaos in A.G.W.S. UnitFHP 700; DPOW 27; PARM 38; EARM 0; AGL 6; WAGL 0. chaos’ initial A.G.W.S. with A.G.W.S. WeaponAll enemies; Air; Hit.. Boost your all-enemy attacker onto the Battle SystemEvent Slot bonus that multiplies Tech, Ether, and Skill Points from enemies defeated on that turn. slot, then try to defeat all five together.
4At the next fork, head up and left. Wrap around behind the sign and destroy part of it to reach the chest containing 1x Character AccessoryFire -20 (Reduce fire dmg by 20%) ().
5Return to the fork, take the southern path to the next screen, and destroy the door of the building on the right. Climb the ladder and cross the bridge.
6Search the rooftop for:
  • 1x ItemTarget: 1, Removes all Physical Status Effects ()
  • 1x ItemTarget: 1, Revive KO'd ally with HP max from the chest behind the destructible wall ()
  • 1x ItemTarget: 1, Revive KO'd ally with HP recovery/Low from the southern crates ()
7Return across the bridge and descend the ladder. Follow the path south and right, clear the crates blocking the elevator, then circle north past the building and take the elevator down.

MOMO’s transformation

Unlock EtherMOMO: Once per battle, transforms MOMO into Star Wind form. and Tech AttackMOMO: Transformed MOMO Tech Attack with a chance to steal a rare item.
StepAction
1From the elevator, follow the path right and up. Put MOMO in the party, open the Characters menu, highlight her, and press Square to make her the on-screen leader.
2Climb the stairs and examine the rightmost box with the flashing blue light. MOMO learns the EtherMOMO: Once per battle, transforms MOMO into Star Wind form. Ether and the Tech AttackMOMO: Transformed MOMO Tech Attack with a chance to steal a rare item. Tech Attack.
3Set EtherMOMO: Once per battle, transforms MOMO into Star Wind form., then put Tech AttackMOMO: Transformed MOMO Tech Attack with a chance to steal a rare item. in a low Tech Attack slot. In battle, MOMO can transform with EtherMOMO: Once per battle, transforms MOMO into Star Wind form. and use her Triangle-Circle combo to cast Tech AttackMOMO: Transformed MOMO Tech Attack with a chance to steal a rare item. twice before she changes back.
4Destroy the object at the far right to form a bridge below. This leads to the optional Boss1,500 HP; Gnosis type. Weak to Ice; absorbs Fire. Rewards: 800 XP; 30 T.Pts; 16 E.Pts; 6 S.Pts. Drops: Tech Upgrade S; rare Tech Upgrade Z. Strategy: Equip Coat-Fire, steal both upgrades with Magic Caster, and use Ice attacks. Its Fire attacks and Counter-Boosts punish an unprotected party. and its A.G.W.S. AccessoryAgility +1 chest.
5Return to the bottom of the stairs and take the lower path. Destroy the rock blocking the path to the left, continue under the upper walkway, and climb both flights of stairs.
6Destroy the objects at the far right for:
  • 1x ItemTarget: 1, EP recovery/Mid (+20 EP) ()
  • 1x ItemTarget: 1, HP recovery/Mid (150 HP) ()
7Continue right to the next screen. Follow the road right, down, and right again, then head north to the save point and U.M.N. shop.

Optional Svarozic

Heal before crossing the bridge you formed. Equip Character AccessoryFire -20 (Reduce fire dmg by 20%) to reduce Boss1,500 HP; Gnosis type. Weak to Ice; absorbs Fire. Rewards: 800 XP; 30 T.Pts; 16 E.Pts; 6 S.Pts. Drops: Tech Upgrade S; rare Tech Upgrade Z. Strategy: Equip Coat-Fire, steal both upgrades with Magic Caster, and use Ice attacks. After the fight, open the chest for 1x A.G.W.S. AccessoryAgility +1 (), then return to the save point.

In a Gnosis mall

And a store. In an enemy ship. A Gnosis… ship… Doesn’t that imply that the Gnosis ship is actually a weird mutated planet thing, then? Am I supposed to infer that? I dunno.

The shop sells Character AccessoryPATK Guard (Prevents physical attack down), Character AccessoryPDEF Guard (prevents physical defense down), and Character AccessoryPoison Guard (Prevents Poison). Have everyone learn SkillPrevents Poison. from a Character AccessoryPoison Guard (Prevents Poison), or buy enough to equip the active party. You may have to find some cats to fight for Battle SystemBattle reward spent to extract Skills from equipment., BTW.

As long as we’re preparing, heal, save, and set up your A.G.W.S. You want an Axe or Sword on each of them. You’ll need characters who are good at hand-to-hand combat, so consider Ziggy instead of KOS-MOS if you haven’t got a powerful Tech AttackKOS-MOS: One enemy; Near; Pierce; physical. attack. Since mine was powerful, I used KOS-MOS.

Enter the mall and reach Costmary
StepAction
1Head north from the save point and enter the mall.
2Follow the path around the floating crystals and destroy the two objects for:
  • 1x ItemTarget: 1, +25% Max Frame Hit Points (FHP) ()

Claim Key ItemItem required to open Segment Address No. 15 and the Key ItemGive to Luty in Doctor's office on Dock Colony
StepAction
1Go up the stairs and enter the shop with the broken window. It’s marked “Costmary.” I don’t know why. I thought costmary was a type of flower. Whatever.
2Heal, then defeat the Hydras at the back. The fight gives 1000 Battle SystemBattle reward that automatically advances character levels., 2x ItemTarget: 1, Removes all Physical Status Effects, and Key ItemItem required to open Segment Address No. 15 directly. Mark the SidequestA numbered key that opens the Segment Address with the same number. separately for the Segment tracker ; none of those battle rewards are part of the loot tracker.
3Go around the corner at the back of the shop and collect 1x Key ItemGive to Luty in Doctor's office on Dock Colony from the counter (). You’ll need it for CharacterPatient in the Dock Colony clinic. Giving her the Flower Seed begins an optional reward whose timing is missable. sidequest.
4Leave Costmary and use the doorway to the left. Follow the perimeter walkway to the next doorway, step on the blue square, and take the elevator down.
5Head through the nearby door into the warehouse and heal before you start destroying things.

You can open Segment 15 in the full tracker at any time.

Warehouse and Segment Address 13

The Unicorns behind the blue boxes can be tough. Have chaos use A.G.W.S. WeaponAll enemies; Air; Beam; Ether Attack 130%. from his A.G.W.S. to damage the back row. Clear the front row so you can reach the Unicorn, but keep the two other enemies close to dead and finish both before the Unicorn’s next turn. Otherwise, it can bring them back. You CAN get 10x points on the Unicorns. I’ve done it.
