Final Fantasy XII Walkthrough

Tomb of Raithwall

The First Demon Wall

So you’ll watch the intro movie, and you’re in. Unless you’re near level 40 and have three very powerful fast swords, or have the AccessoryReverses restorative item effects, allowing Remedies and recovery items to inflict statuses or damage., don’t bother killing the first wall. What? OK, head forward and go down the stairs. Watch the scene. Just run to the end of the highway (and not find what you’re looking for…), er the end of the bridge. You can come back and kill this guy later.

You can come back and kill this guy later. If you can kill him now, you can get access to a VERY sweet sword, the Weapon: SwordA one-handed sword with 59 Attack and 5 Evade that requires Swords 3. It can be obtained very early from the hidden Tomb of Raithwall treasure after defeating both Demon Walls, and later appears in shops or as a rare Yeti drop.. It takes some doing, but it can be done. Oh, and if he yeeted one of your characters into the void, just go back to the crystal outside to revive them. But most likely this is too powerful for you now, so run away as fast as you can and open the door. On the other side, you’ll face…

The Second Demon Wall

ANOTHER WALL! This one isn’t nearly as tough, though.

Since this is a timed battle, start by running toward him as fast as you can. You’ll notice you are running past torches in the railings along the way. The battle will push you past those torches. When you get close to one, examine it to make the wall stop for a short time. This effectively increases the time you have available for the battle.

I stole a LootRagoh Loot and Demon Wall Steal; sell two with two Glass Jewels and five Dark Stones to unlock Crimson Blade. from this guy. It didn’t really take much to take this guy out. I used the torches to slow him down, but I’m not sure I really needed to. The Hidden Demonsbane Route

Royal Passage

When you beat the second wall, continue past him to the next area. Watch some more cutsceneage, then you’ll have to figure out the maze. From the cutscene, you should be able to see the Urn up ahead. Well, “down ahead” is probably more accurate. That’s where you’ll be able to get the full map.

There are also three Waystones here. The white one takes you back to the entrance to the Tomb. The other two teleport you back here from other places. Take the stairs leading down on either side. It doesn’t really matter which one you start with.

Northfall and Southfall Passages

Be guided by your map, but don’t forget to open any chests you find. You are trying to make your way into the center of the Northfall and Southfall Passages. There is a pedestal in each one you should examine. Touch the Jewels, and you’ll make the Mystic Altar descend.

The Northfall Pedestal brings out three EnemyA Tomb spellcaster weak to Holy and able to absorb Dark; cure Sleep or Slow from Cloying Breath and collect its Foul Flesh or Dark Stones.. Gambit ready. Once you have touched the second jewel, you’ll drop the altar the rest of the way. Go behind it and open the door at the end of the hall. Watch your friend slander you, and…

Cloister of Flame

You’re now in the next area to the left on your overhead map. Check it out. Explore each floor of this area separately, from top to bottom. You’re liable to find a few odds and ends lying around. Say, your first ItemFully restores one ally’s HP and MP. of the game. :D

When you are ready to continue, head down to the bottom floor. Did you notice there were no enemies here? That’s on purpose. It allowed your Magicks to recharge. Do you have Mist abilities, Battle SystemA character-specific special attack that consumes one, two, or three Mist Charges during a timed chain.? You probably should. Remember what Fran said about Mist allowing powerful Magicks? That works both ways. Keep it in mind.

Er, crystal. Er, whatever that is.

The Dawn Shard

Anyway, after you watch a bunch of cutscenes, don’t bother healing Vossler if he’s injured, killed, or statused. He’s not going to be around long enough to matter. Open the chests, another ItemFully restores one ally’s HP and MP.!, then head through the next door.

Go down a very long staircase, and up another one. Ignore the Waystone for now. Watch more cutscenes and you’ll get the Key Item / AccessoryRoute Key Item that can be equipped for +20 Magick Resist but reduces the wearer’s MP to 0.. There’s nothing else here, so head back to the Waystone and teleport to the entryway, then take the other device and out.

Unless you’d like to do that all over again, I suggest you save here. Finally, head down the stairs…
