Final Fantasy XII Walkthrough

Draklor Laboratory

This area is a little odd. You start off on the 66th floor. Follow the left wall until it winds around to the North Lift Terminal. Select a destination of the 67th floor.

The 67th Floor

Head to the northeast corner of this floor until you find the door to Cid’s Office, labeled C.D.B. You’ll get both a Key ItemThe Draklor key item obtained in C.D.B.; it opens the laboratory rooms needed to reach the upper floors. and the laboratory map. After a few cut scenes, you’ll have control again. Just outside the office are two doors. Room 6704 East has a Save Crystal. Save now, preferably in a new spot.

The way this building works might be a little odd. Bulkhead Controls alternate which colored doors are open. The control display names the color that is currently closed, which is a very easy way to read the whole thing backward.

Enter Room 6703 East beside the save room and activate the control once to open the blue doors. Once you’ve done that, you’ll begin to encounter enemies in this area. They weren’t all that tough, and I was able to steal a LOT of Hi-Potions.

Head south, away from Cid’s office, and turn right. Fight the enemies here and head past the elevator. On the other side, turn right again and enter Room 6703 West. Activate the control to open the red doors, then continue south to Room 6711 West.

Return to Room 6703 West and activate the control again to reopen the blue doors, then head back to the North Lift Terminal.

If you head down to floor 66, you can access Room 6613 East, which may have one or two chests. I was able to get a targeting rule for wind-vulnerable foes. This detour is optional. When you’re finished, return to the North Lift Terminal and head to floor 68.

The 68th Floor

This is where the hallways can get crowded. Do not run far enough ahead to pull several Imperial groups into one fight.

Reach the South Lift
StepAction
1Head east from the North Lift and enter Room 6803 East. Activate the control so the red doors are open.
2Optional: Continue to Room 6814 East in the northeast for the Lab Rats. Let the Confused rats thin themselves out before stepping into the whole group.
3Optional: Use the control room in the southeast corner to open the blue doors, then enter Room 6811 East for the Hecteyes. Return to the same control and reopen the red doors when you are finished.
4Follow the long northern corridor west to Room 6804 West. Activate its control so the blue doors are open.
5Optional: Enter Room 6813 West if you want to fight the Judge. Dispel its Bravery. Room 6801 West has a damaged control and nothing worth detouring for.
6Continue southwest to Room 6811 West and activate its control so the red doors are open.
7Head east, then north into the South Lift Terminal. If the waiting Judges and Hoplites become a pileup, Blindga the group or use the lift control to get out.

The 70th Floor

Take the South Lift Terminal to the 70th floor. Watch the cut scene, then save your game in a new file.

You can access Room 7002 East by heading east, then south. There’s a chest here with something good. Once it was a AccessoryDoubles the effect of Potions, Ethers, and Soleil, Rime, and Lightning Fangs.. Another time, it was a ItemA consumable mote that casts Hastega without spending MP or requiring its Magick License. Trickster carries one as its rare Steal.. Open it, then follow the dude who just showed up. That means heading north. You’ll watch another brief cut scene, then you’ll get to fight Cid.

This battle is kinda tough. There are four Rooks and Doctor Cid. The Rooks heal, guard, and buff him up. You’ll wanna take them out first. I stole from everyone, including Doctor Cid, and I didn’t get anything except potions and Knots of Rust. I was able to Steal two, three, or even four times from them. Dispel the Rooks if you need to, but they really shouldn’t be that much trouble. Take them out one at a time. Be aware that the Rooks can cast Reflect on Cid, so you might not want to do high-power area Magick attacks. I took out A, then B, then C, then D, then Cid. Dispel him first, though.

Be sure not to let your HP drop too low, as he has a massively large attack called S-27 Tokamak. You know, some kinda cannon thing. If you set your primary healer to handle recovery and Dispel, you shouldn’t have too much trouble with this. When he reached about 33% HP, the other man butted in and the cut scenes began. OK, a lot of cut scenes.

After a lot of cut scenes, the party arrives in Balfonheim Port.
