Final Fantasy XII Optional Challenges
Sky Pirate’s Den and Order of Ambrosia
The original PlayStation 2 game predates system-level trophies, but the Clan SystemTracks hunts, enemy entries, map progress, and Sky Pirate’s Den achievements. has its own set of 30 achievements. Each completed goal adds a character or enemy sprite to the Achievement SystemThe original game’s 30-tile achievement board, separate from later platform trophies.. Most of these arrive naturally while completing the walkthrough, hunts, Espers, and optional bosses. The five goals most likely to need deliberate cleanup are Mist Walker, Jack-of-All-Trades, Runeweaver, Cartographer, and Scrivener.

Progress Counters

| Title | Sprite | Requirement | Practical note |
|---|---|---|---|
| Assault Striker | Balthier | Attack 300 times | Normal weapon attacks count, so this should appear through ordinary play. |
| The Unrelenting | Montblanc | Reach a battle chain of 50 | Use the Skeleton, Jelly, or Dead Bones routes if it has not appeared naturally. |
| Plunderer | Penelo | Hold more than 100,000 gil | This checks gil held at one time. Let your balance cross the threshold before a major shopping lap. |
| Blood Dancer | Basch | Defeat 500 enemies | Ordinary enemies count. |
| Premier Prestidigitator | Vayne | Use Technicks 100 times | Repeated uses count; a harmless Technick can finish the total if necessary. |
| Wayfarer | Chocobo | Walk more than 50,000 steps | Ordinary exploration should cover it. |
| Spellsinger | Fran | Cast Magicks 200 times | Healing, buffs, and offensive Magicks all advance normal spell use. |
| Privateer | Migelo | Sell 1,000 pieces of Loot | This counts pieces sold, not 1,000 separate shop transactions. |
| Record Breaker | Reks | Earn more than 500,000 Clan Points | Hunts and ordinary combat build the total. |
| Master Thief | Vaan | Steal successfully 50 times | Only successful Steals advance the goal. |
| Exemplar | Ashe | Raise the party’s average level above 50 | Level the full party rather than relying only on the three active members. |
| Spendthrift | Gurdy | Spend more than 1,000,000 gil | This is cumulative spending, so normal equipment and spell purchases keep contributing. |
| Conqueror | Rasler | Unlock every License at least once | A License only needs to be purchased by one character. Use the shared License Board reference to identify gaps. |
Fixed Objectives
The remaining one-off goals connect directly to the guide page that handles the relevant hunt, Esper, boss, or purchase. Master Swordsman requires both Gilgamesh encounters, not merely the first battle.

You do not need to satisfy the larger “need” count that unlocks each entry’s additional lore pages. Some visual variants share one entry, and an enemy found in multiple regions only needs to be defeated once.
Start with the in-game Bestiary SystemThe Clan Primer enemy record used to check classifications, habitats, and unlocked second-page notes., then use the Enemy and Loot Finder for missing ordinary enemies and the Rare Game page for conditional spawns.
