Final Fantasy XII Walkthrough
Mt Bur-Omisace and Salikawood
Back to Mt Bur-Omisace
You can teleport anywhere you want at this point, but there aren’t any new bills posted. Montblanc will give you 1,100 gil for defeating Vinuskar, though. I also spent some time Worgen Enemy A Water-weak Mosphoran Wolf-family enemy that may begin under Berserk; its Quality Pelt and Throat Wolf Blood support Bazaar progress. chain-leveling , followed by some vampire bat leveling in the Lhusu Mines. Mostly because I was watching football, and it takes almost no concentration to chain-level .
While I’m at it, I think I’ll explain a bit of my philosophy on teleporting. I generally only teleport when I don’t care about LP . If there is something I want, isn’t that most of the time?, I tend to just walk wherever it is I want to go. In this case, I walked back to Rabanastre to look around, then I walked back when I was done. I built up over 500 LP just doing that, and all my characters leveled up. To put this in perspective, the entire top half of my License Board is filled out right now for all my characters, and I haven’t climbed Mt Bur-Omisace.
Teleport: Use it when you want to reach Judge Bergan quickly or do not need more LP .
Walk: Equip Golden Amulets on the entire party, including reserves, and fight back through Paramina Rift. A wider round trip can earn roughly 500 LP .
Do not grind from obligation: The route is already much easier if you completed the available hunts. Walk only if the extra Licenses or levels serve a plan.
When you are ready, head to the top of Mt Bur-Omisace. You’ll watch a quick cutscene. Be sure to talk to everyone. Do you still like the Empire? Continue up to the temple, and open the Gate of the Holy Circle. Watch another cutscene, and then you’ll be in another Boss Battle.
Judge Bergan
Gear: Favor physical Defense and equip a shield on the character taking the most hits. Judge Bergan and the three Judges are almost entirely physical threats.
Gambits: Put Foe: lowest HP -> Attack above general targeting so the party removes the three Judges before concentrating on Bergan. Keep Ally: any -> Raise and strong HP recovery above attacks.
Buffs: Protect, Haste, Regen, and Decoy on a durable shield user make the opening back attack much safer.
Status: Slow, Blind, and Sap can work on Bergan. The three Judges can be Immobilized, which can buy room while the party turns around.
Steal: Bergan carries a Hi-Potion, Ruby Ring, or rare Ether. Get one result you are willing to keep, then stop stealing while four enemies are still attacking.
Level / HP Level 30 / 17,200 HP. Three Judges join him at levels 28–29 with 3,179 HP each. Steal Hi-Potion Item Restores 400 HP before Potion Lore and item-effect bonuses. (common), Ruby Ring Accessory Keeps the wearer under Reflect. (uncommon), Ether Item Restores 50 MP before Ether Lore and item-effect bonuses. (rare).Weak / Absorbs Takes half damage from every element. Slow , Blind , and Sap can work. Reward 19 LP from Bergan and 1 LP from each Judge . Drops None. Strategy Turn around and eliminate the three Judges first, then turn every attacker on Bergan. Keep Protect active, maintain the tank after Battle Cry increases his damage, and do not let repeated Steal attempts destabilize the opening.
You’ll be back attacked by three other Judges. Just kill them off as quick as you can, then take on Judge Bergan. I was able to steal a Hi-Potion and a Ruby Ring from him, so I’d say it’s worth it. Heh heh. Just smack him down. By this point, he should be relatively easy to kill off. If not, you might have needed to level up a little more.
Watch another large set of cutscenes. When the cutscenes end, talk to the Acolyte right in front of you for the Stone of the Condemner Key Item Opens the Stilshrine route to the optional Esper Zeromus. . It will be useful later.
After Judge Bergan
One of the merchants by the Teleport Crystal now has Remedies Item Cures common negative statuses; Remedy Lore 1, 2, and 3 add progressively harder conditions including Stop, Disease, and Doom. for sale, along with new weapons and armor. Stock up on Remedies ! Remedies plus the Nihopalaoa Accessory Reverses restorative item effects, allowing Remedies and recovery items to inflict statuses or damage. is about as useful as any combination can be! The other merchant has the Vanish Magick now. In all honesty, though, you can buy all this stuff and much more in Rabanastre also, so there’s little point to shopping here.
Seven New Hunts
There are six new regular hunts and one new Elite Mark after Judge Bergan. Accept whichever ones you want now so the route can recognize their targets later:
Other things you might want to do include talking with Ktjn near the Muthru Bazaar Shop System Selling Loot increments hidden ingredient counters and unlocks packages; buying a package resets every ingredient counter it used. . If you haven’t done it yet, consider the Earth Tyrant sidequest by talking to Rimzat at Westgate. It’s the Dry in Giza, so go talk to Roaklo and Nanau if you defeated Gil Snapper, and show Elder Brunoa the ring.
Be sure to talk to Old Dalan and Roh’Kenmou, and do not open the chest outside Old Dalan’s house, to begin The Four Pieces of the Medallion . If you cannot begin at this time, you may need to make your way to Nabreus Deadlands and talk to Ma’kleou by the blue Save Crystal .
You are headed for Salikawood, on the other side of the Mosphoran Highwaste. If you’ve been following along with my walkthrough, you’ve already completed Desert Patient and Barheim Key . The restored ferry gives you one route north through the Dalmasca Estersand. If you completed July’s errand in Nalbina, you can instead enter the Mosphoran Highwaste from Nalbina. Either route works; the Barheim Key Key Item Allows the party to re-enter Barheim Passage from the Dalmasca Estersand. itself opens the optional Barheim Passage return.
Following my normal procedure, I recommend you equip your Golden Amulets on everyone, even your reserves, and simply walk the whole way. You’ll fight a bunch of now fairly easy battles, and you’ll have the opportunity to build up a veritable plethora of LP . For comparison, by the time I reached Salikawood, I had another 500 LP at my disposal.

The gate is now open, and you can talk to the moogles here. They’ll tell you they have to fix the windmills at the Cerobi Steppe. Talk to the Moogle Boss for a pair of Quasimodo Boots Accessory Makes the wearer immune to Sap. as a token of their appreciation.
