Final Fantasy XII Hunts
Clan Centurio and Hunts
Welcome to hunters 101. When you track down Kytes for Migelo, Tomaj will introduce you to the Notice Board and Hunters. Ask him to talk about it more, and you'll get a Clan Primer. When you learn about Licenses, don't be worried - your game hasn't been posessed and your controller isn't broken. Just let it play out. Pay attention - THIS IS IMPORTANT. Hunting is good practice, and you can get cool stuff. Make it a point to learn how to do it right.
After talking to Tomaj during Nalbina Fortress and Rabanastre, visit Clan Hall in Rabanastre's North End and introduce yourself to Montblanc. Regular Marks begin on notice boards, but you must speak to the petitioner before the target counts as accepted. Elite Marks begin with Montblanc. After defeating any Mark, return to its petitioner and claim the bounty before calling it complete.

All 45 Hunts
The Pharos is complete, so every hunt can now appear once its own prerequisites are met. Use the links below or link directly to any hunt from a route page. Availability does not mean equal difficulty: Behemoth King, Shadowseer, and especially Yiazmat are endgame commitments, not errands to clear merely because their cards are visible.
Hunt 01 · Rank IRogue TomatoRed & Rotten in the DesertAvailable
Automatically accepted from Tomaj before Vaan can leave Rabanastre through Eastgate.
- Petitioner
- Tomaj
- Accept at
- The Sandsea, Rabanastre
- Target
- The Stepping, Dalmasca Estersand
- Recommended
- Vaan level 3–5
- Level / HP
- 2 / 134
- Weak / LP
- Water / 3
- Bounty
- 300 gil, 2 Potions, 1 Teleport Stone
- Steal
- Pebble, Fire Stone, or Potion; Steal again after the ledge jump.
Hunt Prep
- Carry a few Potions and clear nearby Wolves before engaging.
Strategy
Head straight toward the little U-shaped alcove below the middle of The Stepping. Steal, attack until Rogue Tomato jumps from the cliff, follow it down, steal again, and finish the hunt.
After the Fight
Return to Tomaj at the Sandsea for the bounty. The Teleport Stone is much more useful than its early sale value.

Hunt 02 · Rank IThexteraWolf in the WasteAvailable
After claiming the Rogue Tomato bounty, read the Sandsea notice board and speak to Gatsly before leaving.
- Petitioner
- Gatsly
- Accept at
- The Sandsea, Rabanastre
- Target
- Galtea Downs, Dalmasca Westersand
- Recommended
- Vaan and Penelo around level 5–6
- Level / HP
- 6 / 380
- Weak / LP
- Wind / 2
- Bounty
- 500 gil, Headguard, 1 Teleport Stone
- Steal
- Pebble, Potion, or Wolf Pelt.
Hunt Prep
- Bring Penelo or another reliable source of Cure and carry Potions as backup.
- Clear the nearby Wolves without drawing Thextera into the fight.
Strategy
Follow the cliff wall to your left after entering the Westersand. Keep your HP above 100, concentrate on Thextera when it calls another Wolf at critical HP, and do not forget to Steal.
After the Fight
Report to Gatsly, then speak to him again in Muthru Bazaar to unlock the 18,000-gil Hunter’s Monograph.

Hunt 03 · Rank IFlowering CactoidDalmasca's Desert BloomAvailable
After claiming the Rogue Tomato bounty, read the Sandsea notice board, then speak to Dantro at the Estersand Outpost.
- Petitioner
- Dantro
- Accept at
- Outpost, Dalmasca Estersand
- Target
- Yardang Labyrinth, Dalmasca Estersand
- Recommended
- Vaan and Penelo around level 6–10
- Level / HP
- 4 / 755
- Weak / LP
- Wind / 2
- Bounty
- 500 gil, 10 Potions
- Steal
- Cactus Fruit, Earth Stone, or Potion.
Hunt Prep
- Bring Eye Drops, Phoenix Downs, and a healer; it can inflict Blind.
- Clear nearby enemies before engaging so its running does not collect an audience.
Strategy
Be ready to run if it starts charging 1000 Needles. Start fleeing as soon as the charge begins and the attack may miss; if it lands, its fixed 1,000 damage is lethal at this stage, so revive immediately and finish the fight.
After the Fight
Take the Cactus Flower to Dantro, then give it to Dantro’s Wife in South Bank Village. This begins the Desert Patient and Barheim Key sidequest.

Hunt 04 · Rank IWraithWaterway HauntingAvailable
After escaping Barheim Passage, read the Sandsea notice board and speak to Milha in Lowtown’s North Sprawl.
- Petitioner
- Milha
- Accept at
- North Sprawl, Lowtown
- Target
- Overflow Cloaca, Garamsythe Waterway
- Recommended
- Full party around level 12–15
- Level / HP
- 9 / 5,146
- Weak / LP
- Lightning; absorbs Ice / 5
- Bounty
- 500 gil, 1 Ether, 1 Gauntlets
- Steal
- Glass Jewel; an uncommon Dark Magicite and rare Hi-Potion are also possible in the detailed original-PS2 appendix.
Hunt Prep
- Stock Phoenix Downs. Remedy Lore 3 lets Remedies remove Doom, but it is unlikely to be practical this early.
- Set Ally: any -> Phoenix Down above attacks, and prepare Thunder for its Lightning weakness.
- Slow is worth trying. Mage Masher can suppress Dark, Blind, and Poison, but it does not stop Doom.
Strategy
Enter through the right-hand Storehouse No. 5 door and descend into Overflow Cloaca. Slow the Wraith, attack relentlessly, and revive anyone whose Doom count expires. Leaving the zone lets it heal, so do not retreat for the Save Crystal until the fight is over.
After the Fight
Run back to the Save Crystal after the fight, report to Milha, then enter the residence, speak to Deeg, and collect the Dusty Letter for a later Waterway puzzle.

Hunt 05 · Rank ICluckatriceLittle Love on the Big PlainsAvailable
Accept the Elite Mark from Montblanc, then speak to Dania in the Nomad Village cockatrice pen while Giza Plains is dry.
- Petitioner
- Dania
- Accept at
- Nomad Village, Giza Plains
- Target
- Gizas North Bank, Giza Plains (Dry)
- Recommended
- Full party around level 14–16
- Level / HP
- 15 / 7,509
- Weak / LP
- Earth; absorbs Wind / 6
- Bounty
- 1,000 gil, 1 Jackboots, 1 Rainbow Egg
- Steal
- Potion and Small Feather have both been obtained. Wind Stone and Taurus Gem may also appear, so steal repeatedly if the exact result matters.
Hunt Prep
- Bring a large supply of Gold Needles, or Stona if you have it, to cure Petrify before it becomes Stone.
- The family is weak to Earth and absorbs Wind. Cluckatrice begins under Protect and may begin under Haste.
- Clear every enemy in Gizas North Bank, including passive Giza Rabbits, before zoning south and returning.
Strategy
Defeat the three Chickatrices first, then concentrate on the mama. Keep healing and Petrify recovery above attacks; below half HP, Cluckatrice gains Damage Cut, and below 20% it becomes even faster.
After the Fight
Report to Dania for the Rainbow Egg. Sell exactly one Egg, buy the repeatable Hi-Potion Pack for ten Hi-Potions, and repeat only if you obtain another Egg.

Hunt 06 · Rank IRocktoiseThe Cry of Its PowerAvailable
Accept the Elite Mark from Montblanc now. Speak to Pilika in Bhujerba’s Khus Skygrounds and finish the hunt after the story opens Lhusu Mines Site 2.
- Petitioner
- Pilika
- Accept at
- Khus Skygrounds, Bhujerba
- Target
- Site 2, Lhusu Mines
- Recommended
- Around level 16 or defer until stronger
- Level / HP
- 16 / 17,548
- Weak / LP
- Wind; absorbs Earth / 9
- Bounty
- 1,200 gil, 2 Hi-Potions, 1 Heavy Coat
- Steal
- Potion, Turtle Shell, or rare Aged Turtle Shell.
Hunt Prep
- Cast Protect and Shell before engaging, and stock Potions and Hi-Potions.
- Prepare Blind and Slow. Immobilize and Silence can also land, so try them if the fight is getting ugly; do not depend on Disable.
- Equip ranged weapons where practical so the party can keep attacking while one character draws it around Site 2.
Strategy
Apply Blind and Slow until they stick, spread out from its area attacks, and use ranged attacks from afar. Its heavy physical hits can overwhelm an early party, so there is no penalty for deferring it.
After the Fight
Report to Pilika, then speak to the moogle again to begin the diary errand at Clio’s Technicks.

Hunt 07 · Rank INidhoggMarauder in the MinesAvailable
After escaping Ba’Gamnan’s trap and completing the Bhujerba notoriety sequence, read the board in The Cloudborne and speak to Aekom in Lhusu Square.
- Petitioner
- Aekom
- Accept at
- Lhusu Square, Bhujerba
- Target
- Transitway 1, Lhusu Mines
- Recommended
- Full party around level 18–20
- Level / HP
- 10 / 6,079
- Weak / LP
- Fire; absorbs Water / 5
- Bounty
- 600 gil, 1 Rose Corsage, 1 Balaclava, and the Great Serpentskin
- Steal
- Antidote, Tanned Hide, or rare Aries Gem.
Hunt Prep
- Cast Protect before engaging. Shell helps against status pressure, and Blind and Slow are both worth applying.
- Clear ordinary enemies around the Transitway 1 fork before committing to the Mark.
- If Dispel is not available, wait near the zone line for its opening Protect, possible Shell, Haste, and Bravery to expire.
Strategy
Blind it first, add Slow, and keep healing above attacks when Tail Spear lands. A level-20 party can handle it with Protect and Shell; if it is hitting too hard, use Immobilize and attack from range.
After the Fight
Claim the bounty from Aekom and keep the Great Serpentskin. It improves the final Desert Patient reward and should not be sold.
Keep the Great Serpentskin for Desert Patient

Hunt 08 · Rank IIWyvern LordA Scream from the SkyAvailable
After escaping Dreadnought Leviathan, read the Sandsea notice board and speak to Sherral in Amal’s Weaponry.
- Petitioner
- Sherral
- Accept at
- Amal’s Weaponry, Rabanastre
- Target
- Simoon Bluff, Nam-Yensa Sandsea
- Recommended
- Full party around level 18 or defer until after Raithwall
- Level / HP
- 18 / 18,669
- Weak / LP
- Earth; absorbs Wind / 8
- Bounty
- 1,000 gil, 1 Longbow, 1 Shell Shield
- Steal
- Yensa Scale, Crooked Fang, or rare Wyvern Wing.
Hunt Prep
- Equip bows, guns, or prepare Magick because ordinary melee weapons cannot reach the Flying target.
- Clear the nearby Bagolies before engaging, and use Earth damage while avoiding Wind.
- Blind and Slow are worth trying. Spread the party out to reduce the pressure from Aero.
Strategy
Enter Simoon Bluff from the Tomb approach, clear the ordinary enemies, then keep the party on ranged attacks. Blind and Slow the Wyvern Lord, exploit its Earth weakness, and heal through its stronger attacks below half HP.
After the Fight
Return to Sherral in Amal’s Weaponry for the Longbow and Shell Shield. There is no penalty for waiting until after the Tomb of Raithwall.

Hunt 09 · Rank VWhite MousseLost in the PuddingAvailable
After the Great-chief audience in Jahara, read the Sandsea notice board and speak to Sorbet at Rabanastre Westgate.
- Petitioner
- Sorbet
- Accept at
- Westgate, Rabanastre
- Target
- West Sluice Control, Garamsythe Waterway
- Recommended
- Around level 29 or defer until the party has stronger Fire Magick
- Level / HP
- 15 / 69,469
- Weak / LP
- Fire; absorbs Water / 24
- Bounty
- 2,800 gil, 1 Yoichi Bow, 1 Sluice Gate Key
- Steal
- Potion, Echo Herbs, or rare Hi-Potion.
Hunt Prep
- Clear ordinary enemies from the route before entering West Sluice Control.
- Prepare Fire or Fira and avoid Water. Reflect on the party can bounce several Fire casts into the Mark.
- If using Reflect, heal with items instead of party-targeted Magick. Sleep and Blind are also worth trying.
Strategy
Keep the party clear of extra enemies, apply Blind or Sleep if they land, and use Fire damage. A reflected party-wide Fire setup can accelerate the fight, but do not let it block emergency healing.
After the Fight
Return to Sorbet for the bounty. The Sluice Gate Key opens the optional Waterway control route and should not be sold.

Hunt 10 · Rank IIIRing WyrmFor Whom the Wyrm TollsAvailable
After the Great-chief audience in Jahara, read the Sandsea notice board and speak to Balzac in Lowtown North Sprawl.
- Petitioner
- Balzac
- Accept at
- North Sprawl, Lowtown
- Target
- Windtrace Dunes, Dalmasca Westersand during a sandstorm
- Recommended
- Around level 30–32; safe to defer
- Level / HP
- 32 / 128,648
- Weak / LP
- Fire; absorbs Water / 16
- Bounty
- 200 gil, 1 Moon Ring, 1 Icebrand
- Steal
- Phoenix Down, Hi-Potion, or rare Water Magicite.
Hunt Prep
- Enter Windtrace Dunes during a sandstorm and clear nearby enemies before engaging.
- Cast Protect and Shell, prepare Fire damage, and avoid Water.
- Blind and Slow are useful. Spread the party so Flame Breath does not pressure everyone at once.
Strategy
Apply Blind and Slow, use Fire, and keep the party spread. Heal through Flame Breath and its Sap effect, and be ready for the Mark to restore its HP once.
After the Fight
Return to Balzac for the bounty. If this hunt matters, finish it before defeating Earth Tyrant because Westersand sandstorms become less dependable afterward.

Hunt 11 · Rank VMarilithA Tingling ToastAvailable
After obtaining the Dawn Shard, read the Sandsea notice board and speak to the Tavernmaster. The target is available now, but it is sensible to defer it.
- Petitioner
- Tavernmaster
- Accept at
- The Sandsea, Rabanastre
- Target
- Invitation to Heresy, Zertinan Caverns
- Recommended
- Around level 37–40; defer on a normal first visit
- Level / HP
- 38 / 54,921
- Weak / LP
- Water; absorbs Fire / 22
- Bounty
- 2,200 gil, 1 Serpent Eye, 3 Teleport Stones
- Steal
- Fire Stone, Prime Tanned Hide, or rare Fire Crystal.
Hunt Prep
- Do not treat Rank V as a typo. This hunt opens early but is tuned far above the next story route.
- Clear the Speartongues near the eastern Zertinan entrance, then wait in the sunlit southern section for several minutes.
- Prepare Blind and Slow, avoid Fire damage, and bring enough healing to survive repeated physical attacks.
Strategy
Enter Invitation to Heresy from the Westersand, clear the ordinary enemies, wait in the southern sunlight until Marilith emerges, then Blind and Slow it. Keep healing above attacks and leave if its damage proves the warning accurate.
After the Fight
Return to the Tavernmaster for the bounty. The Serpent Eye is also used in the Jewel of the Serpent Bazaar recipe, so selling it records useful recipe progress.

Hunt 12 · Rank IIIGil SnapperParadise RisenAvailable
After obtaining the Dawn Shard and reaching Vanguard, accept the Elite Mark from Montblanc, then speak to Nanau in Giza Plains Crystal Glade during the Rains.
- Petitioner
- Nanau
- Accept at
- Crystal Glade, Giza Plains (Rains)
- Target
- Tracks of the Beast, Giza Plains (Rains)
- Recommended
- Around level 31–34; defer if the party cannot survive its area attacks
- Level / HP
- 37 / 86,956
- Weak / LP
- Lightning; absorbs Ice / 20
- Bounty
- 3,000 gil, 1 Phobos Glaze
- Steal
- 1,000 gil, 2,000 gil, or rare 4,000 gil.
Hunt Prep
- Cut down the six Withered Trees around rainy Giza to create the bridge into Tracks of the Beast.
- Wait for heavy rain before entering the arena. Bansat confirms when Gil Snapper has appeared and helps in the fight.
- Prepare Lightning damage, Shell, and healing for area Magick. Do not use Ice, which it absorbs.
Strategy
Enter Tracks of the Beast during heavy rain, let Bansat join, and use Lightning while keeping the party spread and healed. Steal once if safe, but do not let a gil attempt destabilize the fight.
After the Fight
Read the Soggy Note after the battle. Nanau has left; claim the bounty from her at the Nomad Village after Giza returns to the Dry.

- Low-chief Sugumu
- Accept at
- Lull of the Land, Jahara
- Target
- The Shred, Ozmone Plain
- Recommended
- Around level 23–25
- Level / HP
- 22 / 18,709
- Weak / LP
- Unsettled; absorbs Earth / 9
- Bounty
- 1,100 gil, 1 Ether, 1 Golden Amulet
- Steal
- Potion, Earth Magicite, or rare Slaven Harness.
Hunt Prep
- Clear every Wu from The Shred, zone out, then return to make Enkelados appear.
- Blind and Slow are useful. Avoid Earth damage, which it absorbs.
- Its exact elemental weakness is unsettled; use dependable non-Earth physical damage.
Strategy
Clear The Shred before engaging, apply Blind and Slow, and keep healing above attacks. Do not use Earth, and be ready for the nearby Bull Croc or Aeros while entering and leaving the area.
After the Fight
Return to Low-chief Sugumu for the bounty. The Golden Amulet doubles LP earned by its wearer and is the main reason not to skip this hunt.

After obtaining the Dawn Shard, read the Sandsea notice board and speak to Sadeen in the rainy Nomad Village.
- Petitioner

- Accept at
- Nomad Village, Giza Plains (Rains)
- Target
- Starfall Field, Giza Plains (Rains)
- Recommended

- Steal
- Horn, Pointed Horn, or rare Aries Gem.
Hunt Prep
- Approach the eastern bridge in Starfall Field after accepting the hunt.
- Prepare Fire damage and avoid Water, which Croakadile absorbs.
- Keep healing above attacks. Growing Threat raises its level, so do not let the last phase drag out.
Strategy
Clear nearby enemies, use Fire, and keep the party healthy as Croakadile grows stronger. Finish it promptly after Growing Threat rather than spending the dangerous last phase on repeated Steal attempts.
After the Fight
Report to Sadeen for the bounty and the Ring of the Toad. Its later owner can be found only after the Rains end.

Hunt 15 · Rank VOrthrosCrime and PunishmentAvailable
After obtaining the Dawn Shard, accept the Elite Mark from Montblanc and speak to the Contrite Thief in Lowtown’s North Sprawl.
- Petitioner
- Contrite Thief
- Accept at
- North Sprawl, Rabanastre Lowtown
- Target
- Southern Sluiceway, Garamsythe Waterway
- Recommended
- Around level 34–38; defer if Waterway enemies are still dangerous
- Level / HP
- 34 / 87,141
- Weak / LP
- Fire / 25
- Bounty
- 3,800 gil, 1 Horakhty’s Flame, 1 Unpurified Ether, 1 Blackened Fragment
- Steal
- Phoenix Down, Caramel, or rare Slime Oil.
Hunt Prep
- Close the No. 10 Waterway Control, save at East Sluice Control, then enter Southern Sluiceway with Ashe, Fran, and Penelo active. Once Orthros appears, switch to any party you want.
- Dispel its opening Protect, Bravery, and Haste. Maintain Protect and Shell, and prepare item-based recovery for Slowga, Mythril Bubbles, Flash, and Bleed.
- Orthros is weak to Fire and vulnerable to Sleep, Disease, and Blind. If a Nihopalaoa user throws a Remedy, unequip the accessory before that character uses recovery items.
Strategy
Apply the useful statuses, keep Orthros asleep when practical, and attack with Fire. If you use Reflect to bounce Fire Magick from the party, disable Magick healing and recover with items so reflected Cure Magick does not heal Orthros.
After the Fight
Orthros leaves the Stolen Articles. Return them to the Contrite Thief for the bounty and Blackened Fragment, which continues the Nabreus Medallions sidequest. Horakhty’s Flame is one of the three Morbid Urn ingredients.

- Lull of the Land, Jahara
- Target
- Phase 1 Shaft, Henne Mines
- Recommended
- Around level 25–28
- Level / HP
- 24 / 22,562
- Weak / LP
- Holy; absorbs Dark / 12
- Bounty
- 1,300 gil, 1 Ether, 1 Soul Powder
- Steal
- Dark Crystal, Book of Orgain-Mille, or rare Flame Shield.
Hunt Prep
- Enter through North Entrance and set the first switchboard to red. At Pithead Junction A, switch red to blue, then flee east or defeat the Jelly swarm.
- Apply Protect, Shell, Haste, and Bubble if available. Ixtab is weak to Holy and absorbs Dark.
- Blind, Silence, Slow, Immobilize, Stop, and Sap can work. Do not depend on Poison, Sleep, Disable, or Oil.
Strategy
Follow the eastern loop into the central part of Phase 1 Shaft, where Ixtab appears near the map urn. Apply the useful statuses, keep healing above attacks, and finish decisively after it gains Parry and Attack Up below half HP.
After the Fight
Return to High-chief Zayalu for the bounty. If the hunt raises your Clan Rank, visit Montblanc and the Clan Provisioner before spending the reward.

- Petitioner
- Gurdy
- Accept at
- Sand-strewn Pass, Mt Bur-Omisace
- Target
- Frozen Brook, Paramina Rift
- Recommended
- Mid-30s or higher; difficult even with Larsa
- Level / HP
- 44 / 61,321
- Weak / LP
- Changes after being struck / 25
- Bounty
- 4,800 gil, 1 Deimos Clay
- Steal
- Chocobo Feather, Gysahl Greens, or rare Hastega Mote.
Hunt Prep
- Bring ranged weapons because Trickster runs constantly. Keep ally recovery rules away from Monid by using Self or named-party targets where practical.
- It begins under Haste and Vanish and may begin under Protect. Monid tells you whether it spawned; zone and return if it did not.
- Prepare both physical and Magick damage. A Paling eventually blocks physical attacks, while Barrier Change moves its elemental weakness after it is struck.
Strategy
Stay with the target using ranged attacks while it runs. When its Paling appears, stop physical attacks and probe with non-elemental Magick or a known current weakness. Keep Hi-Potions, Phoenix Downs, and MP recovery ready for a long fight.
After the Fight
Return to Gurdy. Selling Deimos Clay with Phobos Glaze and Horakhty’s Flame unlocks the 250,000-gil Morbid Urn, the Canopic Jar that adds Arcana and High Arcana drops.

- Sand-strewn Pass, Mt Bur-Omisace
- Target
- Spine of the Icewyrm, Paramina Rift
- Recommended
- Around level 28–32
- Level / HP
- 28 / 22,559
- Weak / LP
- Earth; absorbs Wind / 14
- Bounty
- 1,500 gil, 1 Recurve Crossbow, 2 Teleport Stones
- Steal
- Pebble, Quality Pelt, or rare Prime Pelt.
Hunt Prep
- Accept the hunt before the Hall of Light scenes if you want Larsa’s automatic healing in the fight.
- Use Earth damage, avoid Wind, and expect it to begin under Shell with a chance of Faith.
- Protect and Bubble help against its physical pressure. Blind, Slow, Silence, and Disease are useful if available.
Strategy
Approach Spine of the Icewyrm from the Stilshrine side of Paramina Rift, clear ordinary enemies, and keep the party healthy while attacking the Mark. Its Wind absorption makes elemental automation risky unless the target rule is specific.
After the Fight
Return to Hymms for the Recurve Crossbow and two Teleport Stones. Check the matching Crossbow License before treating the weapon as an immediate upgrade.

After reaching Mt Bur-Omisace with Headhunter Clan Rank, accept the Elite Mark from Montblanc and speak to Niray in Bhujerba.
- Petitioner
- Niray
- Accept at
- Staras Residence, Bhujerba
- Target
- Site 9, Lhusu Mines
- Recommended
- Upper 30s; leave if the Site 3 route is overwhelming
- Level / HP
- 37 / 106,499
- Weak / LP
- Wind; absorbs Earth / 25
- Bounty
- 4,300 gil, 1 Bubble Belt, 1 Sickle-Blade
- Steal
- Potion, Charger Barding, or rare Cancer Gem.
Hunt Prep
- Niray gives you the Site 3 Key. Unlock the door beyond Site 2 and activate gate switches while crossing the deeper mine.
- Prepare Black Belts or Esuna for Disable. Antlion is weak to Wind and absorbs Earth.
- Warp Motes can remove the Killer Mantises before Antlion Cannibalizes them and grows stronger.
Strategy
Save west of the Transitway 1 cart, continue through the Killer Mantis areas, and clear the adds before concentrating on Antlion. Disease, Slow, and Silence can work; keep Protect, Haste, and Bubble active and finish before repeated Cannibalize turns the fight.
After the Fight
Return to Niray for the Bubble Belt and Sickle-Blade. Keep the children’s Phon Coast clue in mind, and leave the complete block of 16 treasure containers on the southern beach of The Vaddu Strand unopened if the guaranteed Zodiac Spear matters.

- Target
- The Rustling Chapel, Golmore Jungle
- Recommended

- Weak / LP
- Holy; absorbs Dark; halves all other elements / 16
- Bounty
- 2,000 gil, 1 Lightning Arrows, 1 Gillie Boots
- Steal
- Braid Wool and Drab Wool have both been obtained. Hi-Potion and rare Blood Wool may also appear.
Hunt Prep
- Prepare Berserk or Bacchus’s Wine so the target stops fleeing through other encounters.
- Use ranged weapons because it runs constantly and can parry conventional weapons.
- Do not clear the whole chapel in advance; Dark Skeletons can begin spawning and make the chase worse.
Strategy
Find the bunny in one of The Rustling Chapel’s rectangular clearings, Berserk it immediately, and concentrate fire before it resumes running. Kill only ordinary enemies that actually join the fight.
After the Fight
The Mark leaves Rabbit’s Tail. Return it to Nera for Lightning Arrows and Gillie Boots.

Hunt Prep
- Lure or defeat the nearby Vultures before approaching Atomos.
- Prepare Dispel for Protect, Shell, and Regen. Sleep, Disable, Blind, Slow, Silence, and Disease can work before White Wind.
- Use Holy if available and avoid Dark. Shields do not help because Atomos ignores Evasion.
Strategy
Dispel the opening buffs, apply a disabling status, and attack while it is controlled. It can Purify ailments and then use White Wind to become temporarily immune, so finish promptly or switch to a straightforward damage race.

- Prepare Berserk, Blind, Slow, and Sap. It halves every element, so use strong neutral damage.
- Keep Stop recovery and immediate HP healing ready for Time Requiem and Invert.
Strategy
Berserk is the cleanest answer because it prevents Invert, Hero’s March, and Soul Etude. Otherwise Dispel its buffs and finish before Soul Etude restores all HP.

- Advance slowly and defeat Dead Bones in manageable groups before approaching Roblon.

Strategy
Do not attack Roblon until the skeleton pressure is under control. Clear the adds, apply Slow and Blind, and keep MP recovery above attacks after Fear begins draining the party.

Hunt Prep
- Use Ice and do not use Lightning. Braegh absorbs Lightning and is immune to the other six elements.
- Prepare Silence or Disable for its Magick, especially Invert.
- Reflect can bounce Invert back at Braegh, but keep party healing from colliding with Reflect.
Strategy

Strategy
Spread the party around Behemoth King, remove its buffs, and switch between physical and Magick damage as its barriers change. Below half HP it becomes faster and more dangerous, so keep recovery stable instead of chasing damage during an immunity field.

- Weak / LP
- Holy; absorbs Dark; halves the other elements / 6
- Bounty
- 20,000 gil, 2 Megalixirs
- Steal
- Foul Flesh, Maggoty Flesh, or rare Forbidden Flesh.
Hunt Prep
- Take the Pharos elevator to Penumbra and collect Black Orbs from enemies. Leave small orbs on the floor once a Massive Black Orb appears; nearby small orbs merge into it and increase its value.
- Light Penumbra’s pedestals SW 6, SE 3, NW 9, NE 18; defeat Phoenix through the northeast route. Then light Umbra NW 9, SW 18, SE 15, NE 15 and Abyssal NW 21, SW 12, SE 27, NE 15. Do not overfill a pedestal.
- For Shadowseer, equip Dark absorption, broad status protection, and an MP recovery plan. Bring Holy damage for Shadowseer and flexible elements or neutral damage for its four servants.
Strategy
Dispel Shadowseer and attack until it summons Pandaemonium, Slyt, Fenrir, and Phoenix in order. Shadowseer becomes protected while each servant lives, so defeat the active servant, recover during its immunity fields, and keep the healer away from Fearga and Curse. After Phoenix falls, use Holy damage to finish Shadowseer.
After the Fight
Return to Montblanc for 20,000 gil and two Megalixirs.

- Colosseum, Ridorana Cataract
- Recommended
- Level 70s or later; a multi-session superboss
- Level / HP
- 73 / 50,112,254
- Weak / LP
- Dark; absorbs Holy; halves the other elements / 255
- Bounty
- 30,000 gil, 1 Godslayer’s Badge
- Steal
- Holy Stone, Holy Magicite, or rare Holy Crystal.
Hunt Prep
- Stock revival, Chronos Tears, Gold Needles, Remedies, and MP recovery. Protect against Stop and Petrify, and prepare Wind resistance for Cyclone.
- Use Dark or strong neutral physical damage and avoid Holy. Genji Gloves with a combo weapon and repeated Expose applications materially shorten the fight.
- This fight can be left and resumed with Yiazmat’s lost HP preserved. Exit the Colosseum promptly when taking a break; do not linger nearby while disengaged.
Strategy
Dispel the opening buffs, keep Protect and Bubble active, and maintain immediate revival for Rake and Death Strike. Spread out for Cyclone, clear Stop and Petrify quickly, and expect damage to be capped below half HP. During the last ten life bars, Growing Threat makes every mistake more dangerous, so take safe breaks instead of gambling hours of progress.
After the Fight
Return to Montblanc. Clan Hall gathers for the final bounty: 30,000 gil and the Godslayer’s Badge.

Completed means the petitioner or Montblanc has paid the bounty. Defeating a Mark without reporting it does not finish its tracker entry.
