Th’uban’s Shell or Wht MagicGrants Regen, restoring some HP after each of the target's next ten turns.. Doom also works, but its 255-turn counter is less a strategy than a long-term commitment.

Neslug

Skipping Neslug’s Shell Phase

At 99,999 damage per hit, use Attack Reels once and then SkillFast physical attack with unusually short recovery time, allowing the user to act again sooner. eight times: the 12 Reel hits plus eight Quick Hits total 1,999,980 damage, leaving Monster Arena CreationMonster Arena Original Creation whose shell phases guard the 99 Winning Formulas awarded when it is unlocked. just outside the shell trigger. They erase an activated stat node from the Character GrowthFFX character-development board where Sphere Levels move a character and spheres activate reached nodes. so it can be replaced with a stronger node; they do not erase ability nodes.

Shinryu

Without Equipment AbilityAllows damage from the equipped character to exceed the normal 9,999 cap., this is a long, tough slog: two million HP means more than 200 hits at 9,999 damage. It is worth waiting until at least two of the underwater fighters can contribute properly.

Nemesis

Nemesis is a second source for Kimahri’s Nova OverdriveKimahri's Overdrive command, populated with enemy techniques learned through Lancet. if you missed it from Omega Weapon. Use Special AbilityKimahri ability that drains HP and MP and can teach him specific Ronso Rage techniques from compatible enemies. and the skill remains learned even if the party loses afterward.

The International, PAL, HD Remaster, and later versions make SkillFast physical attack with unusually short recovery time, allowing the user to act again sooner. slower and more expensive. Sacrificing an Battle SystemA summoned ally that replaces the active party until it is dismissed, defeated, or wins the battle. before every Nemesis turn can therefore exhaust the roster before the fight ends; in those versions, survive and recover from single-target attacks, then reserve Battle SystemA summoned ally that replaces the active party until it is dismissed, defeated, or wins the battle. or Wht MagicGrants a status that automatically revives the target once when KO'd. for Ultra Spark and Armageddon.

While you can attempt to farm Sphere GridSphere used to open a Lv. 4 locked node on the Sphere Grid. here, the easier option is to wander around the Calm Lands until you find a EnemyCalm Lands chimera variant that can teach Kimahri Aqua Breath and takes half damage from Fire and Water. and use the Lv. 4 Key Sphere Bribe.

Defeating Nemesis awards the Key ItemOne-time proof awarded for defeating Nemesis; it has no further gameplay use.. At that point you have defeated every Arena creation and, in the original North American PS2 release, the game’s ultimate optional boss. I managed it after roughly 70 hours. Your mileage may vary.
