Celestial Weapons

Every character has one EquipmentA character-specific ultimate weapon powered up with its matching crest and sigil., one crest, and one sigil. The weapons start out with terrible abilities (just No AP) so finding the chest is not the finish line. Take the weapon and its matching crest to the crystal in Macalania Woods for the first upgrade, then return with the matching sigil for its complete ability set.

The crest must be applied before the sigil. A crest-only weapon still has No AP and gains Equipment AbilityDoubles the rate at which the equipped character's Overdrive gauge charges.; the fully upgraded weapon loses No AP and gains its final four abilities. Caladbolg

Character: Tidus. Damage condition: strongest at full HP; physical damage falls as Tidus’s HP falls.

In my opinion, this can be a complete waste of time. The weapon is not worth ten hours of making yourself miserable; leveling in Omega Ruins, Sin, or the Arena remains a perfectly legitimate decision. But this part of the guide is here to make the challenge easier to follow if you do want it, not to pretend the challenge doesn’t exist.

Did I mention I hate MinigameSpira's underwater team sport and recurring minigame; successful actions earn player EXP, and later prizes include Wakka's Overdrives and Celestial Weapon components.? If you don’t play it, you can’t finish this weapon. I don’t really care. :D

Onion Knight

Equipment AbilityRaises spell damage by 50% while doubling the spell's MP cost. raises spell damage but also doubles the post-One-MP-Cost cost, so Lulu’s spells cost 2 MP rather than 1 while the full weapon is equipped. This is still not exactly a financial crisis.

Given the Equipment AbilityDoubles AP earned by the equipped character while that character qualifies for battle AP., you probably want to power this weapon up and equip it before doing a lot of ordinary leveling. Equipment AbilityDoubles Gil received after battles when the equipped character is in the active party at victory. only doubles Gil awarded directly by battle; it does not double the money from selling the equipment that eventually becomes your better source of cash.
