Return Visits and Optional Rewards

This is the timing spine for optional returns that do not belong only to one collectible checklist. It is organized by when the player can act.

Early route through the Crystal Tower

Mia's Bromide 1	Nash's inventory	Check Nash's carried items when he joins and preserve the Bromide through inventory changes.	Keep it with the party when Nash's inventory changes later in the route.
Jess' Bromide 2 setup	Lann boatman	Return from Lann Island and talk to the boatman until he repeats himself.	Confirmed: do this before defeating Dragonmaster Zoc; the Bromide itself is collected later.
Luna's Crystal Tower weapon	Vane Magic Guild	Before entering the Grand Hall meeting, move Luna's weapon to Nall. Luna rejoins for the Ultragoyle battle with her armor and other equipment intact, but her equipped weapon disappears during the Crystal Tower capture sequence. Post-Grindery cleanup

Ghaleon's Tear, Gale Ring, and Hell Ring are confirmed collectible after the first Grindery defeat while regrouping for Althena's Fortress. Another PlayStation walkthrough places them in pre-Grindery cleanup, which appears to be an earlier opportunity to collect the same rewards rather than a conflicting deadline.
