Emulator Notes

This guide does not designate a particular emulator or setup. The notes below cover only emulator behavior that materially affects how someone might follow the North American PlayStation route.

Route-relevant observations

• Speed-up made the late Althena's Fortress leveling loop much less tedious.
• The route intentionally tried to let Alex run from battles so the rest of the party could gain levels without increasing Alex-linked boss HP as quickly.
• The exact level, attack-count, accessory, experience, and time claims describe one playthrough rather than guaranteeing the same real-time pace on another setup.

Safe emulator use

• Keep an ordinary in-game save before relying on save states.
• Do not treat speed-up timing as evidence that a random event, status duration, or acquisition trigger behaves the same under normal play.
• Record the emulator, version, region, disc revision, and settings when testing a version-specific claim.
• Use legally obtained game and system files. This guide does not provide ROM, disc-image, or BIOS download instructions.
